Section Policies

Articles

These will be presented following this structure: introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions (although these sections may have a different title if preferred), acknowledgments (if necessary), and references. The introduction (maximum 3 pages) should include a review of up-to-date scientific literature, the importance of the study conducted, and conclude with the objective, research questions, and/or hypothesis of the work. The methods section should provide sufficient information to facilitate understanding of the procedures followed; it must include the research design and the main methods of analysis used, the sources from which the information was obtained, the subjects or actors studied, and, if materials were used, the brand, model, city, and country of origin of the equipment used in the study.

Essays

These will be presented following this structure: introduction, development, conclusions (although these sections may have a different name if preferred). The introduction (maximum 3 pages) should establish the background, the questions and objectives guiding the essay, and a brief explanation of the methodological strategy used to address the subject; the development presents the arguments used to address the questions raised, and the argumentation may follow an analytical, comparative, or cause-effect structure. The conclusions should be derived as a logical consequence of the argumentation developed in the body of the essay. To demonstrate that the argumentation and knowledge generated are current or innovative, at least 40% of the citations must be from the last five years.
